sorry for ruining your little game here, but I got a question: what do you judge a map by in order for it to be in your top3? Does the visuals matter that much if the gameplay is almost perfect? And vice-versa?

 

For me visuals aren't that much of a deal.

I don't really know what makes a fun for me it just kinda is but a lot of skips are always really nice.

 

Gameplay and visuals should go hand in hand supporting one another to make a great map but imo gameplay is far more important than the visual appearance. As long as the map doesn't completely look like poop and the map design makes sense I will enjoy it (providing the gameplay is fun for me). Color coding the map is also a huge part which unfortunately not many people realize. A great example is the new Doom where every part you're supposed to jump on/go trough has green Lighting which provides a contrast to the overall red appearance of the game.
