any tips or tricks to start practicing longjumps..? (i really suck at them so any help is appreciated)
yo @sprayb tbh if you truly want to get help/advice, we need to know a lot about what you're doing right now. if you're asking for tips we have no clue if you're struggling to make 240s, stuck in the 260s, trying to break 280 or 285, etc. longjumping takes months to years of practice to figure out, and there's a million different things you need to learn/understand if you're trying to improve. With all that being said, if you ask a question like "how do i get better at longjumping", literally the only (and BEST) answer that we're able to give you is "try starfing" Post a video of yourself longjumping. That's the easiest way to ask for help. Go longjump, open console and copy+paste the full stats of several jumps here. Get a few (by your standards) great jumps, okay jumps, and poor jumps. With the stats I can point out to you what you likely need to work on. Describe where you are right now. What is your highest longjump? In what distance range are your longjumps most of the time? How many strafes do you do per jump? What is your usual sync and max? How consistent are you with longjumping? How much do you know? What are you struggling with? Are there specific things that you know you're not doing right, but can't figure out how to fix? I'm happy to look at your jumps and offer some tips but you provided zero information so I can't do that. Until then, I leave you with the best advice that I'm able to give. try starfing
sry ebysssal's fat post covered my post btw here's a good tutorial http://www.kz-climb.com/advancedstrafing.html
stack multiple strafes and get even airtimes without overlapping key presses / doing wrong key presses if ur playing pre then learn how to pre. there really is no secret to longjumping other than to spam them for a week or 2 to get ur 280 (plus don't null like a fuckboi)
