PORN ROOMS A mappers greatest gift to the world Porn rooms. I'm sure many of us here (and hopefully you, and definitely not me) have experienced the joy of discovering a well-crafted and decorated 'porn room' filled with a variety of content hidden away in some obscure location on a surf or climb map. For many of you, restricted or slow internet resulted in 'porn rooms' being the only options for our youths and the thrill associated with finding a 'porn room' for the first time is unforgettable, but not me because I'm in Singapore and there's no such thing as slow internet you scrubs. To this day, I still remember the first time I was spectating after a round ended on surf-buck-wild and saw multiple players standing around the stunning 'porn room' featured in that map. That feeling was unrivaled by any other map until someone showed me xc_lucid_global's treasure of a room. The slowly rising door, the high quality and sheer magnitude of the room stunned me. jk this was in a dream i definitely didn't view porn pls no cops dont come The effort and depth some mappers put into their maps to provide their fans around the world the opportunity to combine their two favorite hobbies and the ability to not be kicked for inactivity is a testament to the mapping communities good will. I can appreciate (and hopefully so can you) that all mappers are free to have their own preferred type of pornography and fetishes, however some pornography have no place in being included in maps due to their legality around the world. In particular I am calling out maps xc_lucid_global by Kenneth who is not the original map author and kz_toonadventure_go by 7thMarchen❤~ who is not map author, for servers. and kz_christmas_fix by s0lid and kz_skytower_final by pr3da for their hidden images depicting people in sexual poses (also known as pornography). Pornography, while legal in some parts of the world is largely considered pornography and in Singapore exists a 'zero-tolerance' policy on possessing or distributing images depicting people engaged in sexual acts or poses with the threat of criminal persecution for those caught. I have nothing against people fans or maps that contain 'porn rooms' in particular provided all the characters in the room are clearly and visibly not in sexual poses. I also believe a porn room should not be accessible without the player having intentionally gone looking for it or other map secrets to allow for young players to experience the map without adult content. I would like to propose that all maps moving forward (and already approved) should not contain images depicting people engaged in sexual poses or acts. I understand that this is hard to police without the location of hidden rooms and map secrets being provided upon release, however by using a combination of pakrat and VTFEdit all texture files can be checked by the map approval team (or someone else in the community) to verify no questionable content exists. I recommend that maps currently in the global pool featuring the questionable content are removed or re-textured with current map completion times remaining (similar to how kz_failed_fastrun was re-textured without the need for a times wipe). While I understand the possibility of being caught with possession of pornography inside a map is remote, why take the risk at all. Thank you for your time.
Agreed, I think that all maps with porn rooms should be de-globaled. Or better yet lets bring back cute lolis and edit maps and replace the porn rooms pictures of cute lolis.
these adult rooms have been a thing since forever, there are hundreds of maps on 1.6 with that shit, never been a problem. while you are correct that its illegal or whatever in some countries, you're just making this thread to start up some stupid drama just like the lolicon and ruin some maps and records for players. if i had (or still do) a record i was satisfied with on a map that happen to have one of these adult rooms, just to have the map removed because you're making it sound like a big deal, i would be so fucking pissed. can people just stop looking for the smallest of things to whine about to ruin it for others? no ones gonna get fucked by the law in any country because of a fucking map in a fucking game. jesus edit: o i got memed wow haHAA i got owned shit.. im so dumb wow.. cant believe i fell for that one hehe!! fuck off
