    I have been working on this map on and off for the last few months, and it is finally ready for release. I originally intended to make this map around 20 minutes long, but so far my best run has been 26 minutes.
    Credit to Badges for the number textures.

    wow man this map looks pretty damn cool i might give it a try most likely not but hey know that i appreciate your work! also nice of you to credit the makerman of the number textures dude not many do that nowadays anymore but hey atleast you are cool

    also edit: wasnt this map going to be kz_strafehop_hard? what happened you made jumps easier or just dropped _hard haha?

    Strafe heavy and flat textures, recipe for disaster if you ask me.

    I very much dislike the gameplay in this, and I feel like it is way to repetitive. It is just another flat textured and strafe heavy map like every other map that gets released now, I feel like I could just play the first 5min of this or play kz_orbolution_v2 and never have to load this up as they're basicly the same jumps over and over.

    Another issue is the multi bhop sections, a lot are just spaced badly in my opinion, either needing perfs or jumping multiple times on a block making for boring runs, and perfs be way to rewarding.

    Wanna say that I did enjoy some of the single touch sections though

    I just finished the map and it took a fucking eternity and I just wanted to say it feels very repetitive the only thing that is "different" are all the aids ladders.
    And IMO 270 lj blocks in a map is just not necessary neither is 152 laj. And there was one lj block that had some weird arch around it and it felt weird to prestrafe it (I think it was the first 270).
    And like everyone has probably said the flat textures get REALLY boring especially since its a long map with the same 3-4 textures.
    And if this map gets global I cannot see this map being competetive.

    The main part looks pretty boring i gotta admit. There are some parts however which are cool. Like the outside area or the tunnels. Maybe change around the theme at the beginning or the middle so it doesn't get that repetitive feeling to it.

    It's pretty unfair that some people give you tons of shit without ever having touched hammer. The map does have alot of work put into it and you can feel it just the textures are a miss step imho.

    No one is doubting Orbit's hammer skills. And also what the fuck does it matter if someone has touched hammer or not, they can still review maps lmao.

    This map is basically a perfect representation of why every top kzer has stopped kzing.

    kz_hard_strafe was the original name when it was in alpha, but I dropped the _hard. The jumps are still the same difficulty

    I understand everyone's opinions on this map, and I would just like to point out a few things.

    First of all, when people say that "it's just another flat texture map like the rest of orbit's maps", or other comments along those lines, if you look at the maps I have created, there are a total of 7 now, and only 2 of them use only flat textures (orbolution and strafehop). But yes I do understand there are one or two flat textures in northface and solidarity.

    Secondly this map is supposed to be both difficult and long. It was aimed at the higher skilled kz players and anyone who is looking for a challenge. Some people were saying it felt like the difficulty wasn't consistent , but not every jump in the map was made to be difficult. If you are playing a 25+ minute map, you would want some average jumps mixed in with the difficult stuff so that you don't kill your arms.
    Yes the ladders are hard, and yes that was on purpose. From what I have noticed with the majority of people I have spectated playing this map the ladders only seemed so much harder because they would give up on previous jumps quickly and resort to bhopping them, but you can't bhop ladders.

    For the texturing and the theme of this map I wanted to create a clean and simple design and I felt like after trying a few different design ideas, this one was most fitting. I worked on the lighting a lot to avoid hard to see edges or jumps. For the people complaining about all recent maps being flat textures, I would like to say that there is a difference between a well made flat texture map and a bad one. I am not saying mine is the best flat texture map by any means, but I put lots of effort into making sure it wasn't flat walls and only jumps, although you may not notice much of it when you are running.

    Anyway, if you don't like the map that's fine, I'm not here to please everyone, I am just making things I enjoy.
    Also thanks to anyone who gave constructive criticism. If there are more issues I will think about updating the map, if necessary.
