    - fixed one huge sc
    - added additional walls/teleports to prevent future sc using the same way

    - added step to blue area to prevent people from running into trigger_teleport
    - changed red center to make the passable area clear visible

    --- added gaps to encourage player to get behind it

    Hey guys,

    after seeing everyone working hard to release new maps I have finally found
    some free time to spend in the hammer editor.

    Alpha version released:
    Workshop Link (please read workshop description)


    Facts:

    Targeted Map Length: 3-4 min
    Difficulty: easy-medium
    Textures/Look: Mystery/Space/or so
    Main Focus: teleport mechanic

    A bit story:

    I planned to create a map where the player had to finish a section in x seconds to
    continue, he could influence the time x by setting his own difficulty. The main problem
    to that idea was the teleport system, it allowed players to run through and set checkpoints,
    start the section timer and teleport back and profit. Since I had no idea how to solve the
    problem I asked the developer of the kz plugin if would be possible to have an mapper api
    from which you could perform calls to the plugin (like the start/stop button) to enable/disable
    checkpoints in certain areas of the map. Well that feature got rejected and I can understand the
    reasoning. So if I can't prevent players from using checkpoints/teleports in certain areas then
    I will force them to use them :p (evil mapper at work).

    Thats the story behind the map. I will add pictures and more informations while progressing.
    Here is a a preview of the tutorial area where player will learn the idea before jumping right
    into the map and hating it xD

    Sounds interesting! cant wait to play it :) Just judging by the picture it seems very dark, but as long as its not too dark when you actually play it it should be fine

    Interesting concept, should be a pretty unique map. Will be fun to try something new for sure, nice job!

    Teleport system sounds awkward, I think the KZ gamemode has survived on it's own without any game-changing mechanics. However; if you follow through with the idea and it works well, then I'll eat my words haha. I'm assuming the screenshot shows some kind of hub area merged with the tutorial area you mentioned? Will it continue onto the proper map, or teleport to a new area to start your Timer? I like the idea of a practice/tutorial area regardless.

    Other than that, the detailing looks sick, love the floating blocks and all that, looks galactic & low-grav. It's cool

    @Energy: Yeah, I just jumped in to the hammer editor and started doing stuff. So basicly there is no real lighting currently,
    I usally do the lighting after I have done the basic brushwork and texturing =)

    Have you tried xc_qube by the way? It does something similiar with people having to press a button to advance.

    @Kenneth: No, I don't know that map but I will look it up.

    @pebi: The first screen shows a simple area that explains the teleport system with 3 examples that will be used
    through the whole map. That tutorial is needed so people understand my intentions, I made the mistake with
    kz_illusion to let people try and error without giving them an explanation/warning of what they should be aware.
    I agree that kz dont need "new" mechanics, it's just I like to add some variety and I guess if I would just make an
    normal kz map it would be bad xD

    Added image of the planned spawn point, starting to get a feeling where the map should be going.

    @Kenneth: I just watched xc_qube, I remember playing that map on a online server and getting stucked
    on the part where you can rotate part of the map (everyone was rotating it...). All in all very nice
    map but has some issues in multiplayer, I hope mine can avoid that.

    @Energy: Thanks, the skybox does a lot =)

    Just spend 30 min for the buttons and now I am in love with them, thats why I added
    a screenshot ( first time working with func_movelinear)

    im really excited about this. Even though like pebi said, kz has survived based on the same types of jumps and similar design, new stuff is totally welcome. Hell, counter strike was healthy without kz, but kreedz still made the mod, so there is that :p

    Didn't had much time to work on it today but I did the base for the main area from which
    you will enter all sub areas. Since I want to let those plates float around (like in the screens
    before ) I needed to make the whole room out of those plates, each square/triangle is a single brush
    so I can move them individualy. I hope that wont cause performance issues.

    *Update* Added day 3 progress and short video.
    @Kenneth: Is it possible to add a spoiler tag to the board so I can put the images inside it to
    hide the images and ony display if needed? =)

    *Update* Added new screen showing cyan wing. Did not work on the map for 2 days :/

    @Energy: The longer I do the map the less I get the feeling that it is way different, don't think it would
    classifiy as new category but we ll see in the end.

    I love the new pictures. The aesthetics of the map is really freaking good !!
