I recently loaded up a map I've been working on for the past week or so, to find specific textures had gone gray. I figured out my issue in a minute or two, I had been using a blend texture. I replaced all of the broken textures, and I stopped getting the "Patching WVT material" message in my cmd, and everything looked normal in hammer. However, when I loaded up the game, all my props (doors, ladders, lights, and cabinets) seemed to be exceptionally dark. (See the first picture) I did a bit of snooping around old forum posts, but nobody seemed to have the answer. The only recurring "solution" was to put in a cubemap, which I gave a shot. After compiling the map, and running buildcubemaps in console, the textures only got worse! (See the second picture, in particular the cabinets blocking the hallway on the right) So, I came here to see if any of you folks have had similar issues, and if you have had this problem I'd like to know any solution. (On a small aside, I did not have any of these issues yesterday, despite having not changed anything since I last compiled it last night) TL;DR: I used blend textures, but I replaced them. However, lighting on every prop_static in my map is messed up. I just now got this issue even though I've changed nothing recently.
